Do I have to take time off to get dental implants?

Yes. Most patients take 2-4 days off for implant surgery. Mild to moderate pain and swelling usually peak on day three. During this time, rest, get enough sleep, and avoid exertion. Hydrate, and follow a liquid or soft diet for the first few days.

How do I care for my dental implants?

Once healed, care for your implants as you would natural teeth. Floss and brush twice daily. Have regular dental checkups and professional cleanings twice a year to prevent plaque and gum disease.

How Successful Are Dental Implants?

The American Board of Oral Implantology reports a success rate of over 95% for dental implants. To increase the success of your implants, please follow your post-op instructions carefully and continue diligent care.

Am I a Candidate for Dental Implants?

If you are missing one or more teeth or are tired of dentures, dental implants may be right for you if you are healthy and do not have active gum disease or cavities.
